  • It is my first weekend off and i accomplish nothing!  I have a research proposal due on Aug 1, but i did absolutely nothing today and yesterday...  I told my co-investigator that i will send her a copy on monday... i hope i get it done on sunday.


    So what did i do today???  A completely free saturday with sun shining???  I watched Korean Soap ALL DAY.  i watched like (i am very ashamed to admit it) 13 episodes!  Is it even possible you ask?  Oh it is...  i haven't watched any korean TV or spoke korean to anyone (except my mom on every sunday night for 20 minutes) since i moved here... i think i am going through a korean stuff withdrawal... i mean i eat ramen and odun noodles at least 2 times a week so that i have some korean food during the week.  i am so sick of sandwiches... i always eat sandwiches for lunch at work everyday...


    i did borrow 2 tapes from a korean grocery store, but when i went back ther other to borrow some more, there was nothing in stock!  And this lady was renting like 30 tapes! (not exagerating)  when i was looking at her pile, she sternly told me that all those tapes were hers...  whatever...  so i decided to sign up to watch the episodes from the korean tv internet site.  i was only sucessful in one station SBS, where i spent 39,000 won (i think around $39?) for a 1 year subscription which allows me to watch 100 episodes and stuff... i hope it is worth it...  however, i was unsucessful on signing up on other sites... it is really hard for me to understand the directions in korean and there is no english translation... some of the words are too hard for me to understand... sigh...


    anyways, i watched 13 episodes of show called "Screen"  it is a show about the movie business.  It is ok i guess, the main guy in there is really cute.  strangely, the 2 guys that are fighting over the main girl are both nice and cool... i hate it when they make the decision hard to choose by making both of the guys so likeable... it is so much better when they have a evil guy.  So far i watched all but 1 episode of the show... i am dying to know who she chooses in the end...  i think she will choose the cute guy, but i think she should choose the not as cute guy because he is a cooler character.


    i guess it is good that i couldn't watch others shows on other station, or i would not get any sleep this weekend...
