  • Water…So Thirsty!

I saw my second film of the Seattle Film Festival… its called “Flow: The love of water”. It is a documentary on water source… all over the world. The main issue is that the third world countries are taken over by the BIG corporate companies who want to privatize the water system… to “improve quality and conserve” the water source… but its main goal is for profit. The bigger issue is that there is nothing to prevent this from happening. That means that when they privatize the water source, the poor people are cut off from it because they can’t afford it.  It also talked about how much we spend on bottled water and majority of the bottle water sources are tap water may even have undesirable chemicals and bacteria.  Whats worse is that the bottling industries are tapping into water source in local communities of US countries for profit and leaving the communities with diminishing water source.  It totally made me re-think about where water comes from and how much we take it for granted… especially in the US… So for me… from now on… NO MORE BOTTLED WATER! Thats the least that i can do at this moment. Supposedly, $30 billion will help solve water problems in the world… and the money we spend on bottled water is 3 times that amount or something… insane!

Check it out! the website is: http://www.flowthefilm.com/

here are some clips from the film…
