My friends and I went on a road trip to Oregon this past
weekend... So what's in Oregon???
1) we visited Mount St.
Helens (really is in Washington) - was amazing... interestingly passed
lots of cool sporty cars near there...
2) Voodoo Donuts
3) Cool Saturday market displaying lots of need/unique stuff in portland
4) ROSES!!! Who knew portland was city of roses???
5) Cannon Beach... Where Goonies was filmed...so cool... brought back lots of childhood memories thinking about the movie... i watched that movie 100 times...
6) One of the biggest bookstores ever! Powell's City of Books Bookstore that is takes up a whole city block... cool used/rare books are located there too...
7) Microbreweries
8) NO CLOTHING TAX!!!
So not bad... i don't know if i want to live there though...
***HIGHLIGHT***
So i complained that we had to stay at a hotel in Vancouver, WA (which
is 10 minutes from portland) instead of staying at downtown portland...
BUT guess who i ran into????
KEVIN SMITH!!!! While we were checking into the hotel around
midnight, there he was checking in at the same time!!!! I
recognized him instantly... so there i was...thinking what should
say to him?
1) "Wow, great meeting you, i love your movies!"
2) "Dude you are too cool! I think your movies are so awesome!"
3) "I watched almost all your movies... i think you are brillant!"
4) "Wow, what are you doing here in vancouver, washington???"
and then i thought about how should i address him? "Mr. Smith" or "Kevin Smith" or "Kevin"???? or "Silent BOB!"
But when i glance at him again, he look pretty pissed (i think b/c the
hotel's garage was full - which is SOOO stupid) and late, so i didn't
want to bother him with my lame approach... but it was pretty
cool. I have never met/saw a real hollywood guy before... i love
his movies!
